Teach online market to your local business community - they need help
If you’re involved in Internet marketing, you’ve been seduced by the “global gold rush” hype. Yes, it’s possible to market to people all over the world, but chances are that you’re forgetting the people in your own back yard - your local community.
If you have marketing skills, teach your local business community members how to market online.
Why? Because One Of My New Businesses reports:
“1) Offline companies are used to paying lots of money for stuff.
Yellow page ads are $25,000 per year. Leases are up to $8,000 per month. TV commercials are $300 a day and typically generate little to no results.
Compare that to people online who are used to getting everything for free and where you can literally start a business for $15 including a domain name and hosting. There is a completely different mindset between these two types of people.”
With the global economy in trouble, every business is looking for inexpensive marketing solutions. Typically, when companies rein in spending, they start by slashing the marketing budget. However, they still need to market.
If you have Internet marketing savvy, you can put it to work for your local business community.
I’ve been teaching my copywriting students that they need to start their business by writing copy for their local community. Not only do they get fast experience, there’s (usually) no competition from other copywriters locally.
Can YOU put your marketing savvy to work locally? I’m sure you can.
