This is the first time I’ve spotted “SML” options (below) on a Google search results page.
When you click the buttons, this is what you get.
1. Small search results
You get just the page title, and the URL.
2. Medium search results
As in usual SERPs, with page title, page description and URL.
3. Large – I LOVE IT!
Thank you Google!
With a click of the Large button, you get a better idea of what’s on the page, with page title, description, and snippets from the page itself.
This is great, because you can see at a glance whether the page is likely to contain the information you want, or not.
Google seems to be testing this option. I’ve just done another couple of searches, and the buttons have disappeared… oh… rats. Bring back the SML buttons, Google! I like them.
