New Web writing column on Writing Hacker

Laura Brestovansky is a new contributor to Writing Hacker. She’s writing Write Start, a weekly column for new Web writers to help them to become familiar with the Web.

Here’s an excerpt from Laura’s first article, “Why Web Writing? – Write Start”:

Writing for the web is probably the best opportunity ever for aspiring writers. There are so many opportunities available for budding writers to show off their skills and people really will pay high dollars for them. Here are five reasons to consider web writing as a wise career move.

First and most important: The money. Forget the stereotype of the starving artist in a garret, today’s web writers are paid handsomely for their efforts. In addition, they can earn their living at home, saving the price of gasoline and business attire.
