Your Web site: give your visitors what they want
People visit your site looking for information, or entertainment, so it’s a good idea never to add inappropriate material to your site.
What’s inappropriate? Anything which detracts from the purpose and goals of the site. If you’re new to the online environment, you may be tempted to add material which will, you believe, make the site “different” - like music, for example. Unless you’re selling music, or you’re a musician, music is always a bad idea.
Every page of your site needs to have a definite purpose, and if you’re selling on your site, each page needs to do its job of moving a visitor further along the sales cycle until they buy from you.
