How writing content for others boosts your business

by angela.booth on July 27, 2006

I’m a huge fan of article-writing as a business booster. I’ve developed a couple of successful sites of my own without spending a cent on advertising, just by writing and submitting articles to article directories alone. Pro Write for example, has never been advertised, anywhere, but continues to grow.

If you’re new to the idea of articles as a Web-development/ site promotion resource, read “Interview With Article Writing & Marketing Expert Christopher Knight”. Chris is the EzineArticles guru, the top article marketing resource online.

He explains clearly how article marketing works:

1) You write short articles, 250-700 words that share your expertise or knowledge.

2) At the bottom of your articles is a “RESOURCE BOX” where you list a small bio and pitch for your business, your website, or whatever you want the reader to do after they are looking for more resources on the topic you wrote about.

3) You syndicate or distribute your articles to sites that accept them, such as us.

4) Ezine publishers, webmasters, bloggers and other content seekers come looking for supplemental content they can use to add value to their thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands or millions of members. They get the content for free and you, as the writer of the content, get exposure to their audience.

End result: The article writers gets qualified traffic to their website for years to come…for FREE. The only cost is your time to write quality short original articles and submit/syndicate them.
