Linking the baby: kickstart your site with a blog

When you’ve got a brand new site, you want your baby site up and indexed in the search engines asap.

The easiest way to get the job done is by starting a blog. Whether you intend using a blog as a marketing tool or not, a blog will help to get your site indexed more quickly.

Not too long ago, you could create a blog and get it indexed within 24 hours. In the past month, I’ve been able to create a site, with a blog, and get both indexed within three weeks. Your mileage may vary. However, a blog is still one of the fastest ways to ensure that the search engines know that your site exists. Certainly much faster than any search engine’s site-submission page.
