Very funny post at Google Blogoscope about a German company which spammed a bunch of bloggers.

Heh. I guess they’re getting the “blogstorm” they wanted, but not in the way they expected.

No, spamming is NOT viral marketing. When you spam bloggers you’re annoying people who can and will retaliate.

If you’re considering hiring a company to market a product or service, and they want to tout you to the blogosphere, ask the company whether they have a blog. If they don’t — well, buyer beware.
